ICE AND FIRE | Latest Crime Action Group Update from Cleveland Police

The most recent taskforce public meeting hosted by Cleveland Police, along with representatives from emergency services, the local authority and stakeholder community groups, reviewed significant progress in addressing the problems of crime and anti-social behaviour affecting the Eston Hills on Teesside.

The ICE AND FIRE archaeological team are a significant part of this collaboration, helping to highlight the damage to the irreplaceable archaeological heritage and natural environments. We’re also pleased to have prompted an ongoing consideration of integrating this upland landscape into the North York Moors National Park – effectively a conservation overlay to, and partner with, local authority organisations, landowners and tenants, and the diverse community interests in a fragile environment at risk.
